Surf spots for beginners

• Foz do Lizandro: The most popular surf spot for learning to surf. Look forward to gentle waves that break on sandy ground. After your surfing session, the beach bars invite you to enjoy an after-surf drink.
• São Julião: Right next to Foz do Lizandro, São Julião is another very consistent beach break that is ideal for learning to surf and for your first attempts in green waves.
• Praia dos Pescadores: When the waves get big, the sheltered spot of Praia dos Pescadores is perfect for all beginners, as not all the swell comes in here and you can continue to make your first attempts on the surfboard without much worry.

Surf spots for intermediates

• Matadouro: A mix of beach and reef break with left and right waves that are perfect for taking the next steps in green waves. The spot is therefore also popular for the intermediate surf sessions at our surf camps. Directly opposite is also one of our surf camps with a skate ramp, a café and a sunset spot.
• Ribeira d’Ilhas: Probably the most famous wave in Ericeira, which is usually where the contests take place. Ribeira d'Ilhas awaits you with a long right-hand wave, which is one of the best waves in Europe in good conditions.

Surf spots for experienced surfers

• Coxos: Perhaps not the most famous, but the most legendary wave in the Ericeira area. On good days, you can expect a long, fast, right-hand wave with barrel potential. As good and perfect as the wave is, this unfortunately means that it often gets crowded and the vibe is not very relaxed. If you're really good, it's still worth it. Otherwise, we recommend you to look out from the cliff and marvel at the perfect waves.
• Crazy Left: A steep, fast breaking left wave over a flat reef. As the name suggests, the wave is not only powerful but always unpredictable. Definitely an experience for experienced surfers.
• Pedra Branca: A powerful, hollow left that also breaks over a very shallow reef. Another opportunity for experienced surfers to surf the barrel of a lifetime.
