Golf and sea on the orange blossom coast of Spain

The Costa de Azahar (Orange Blossom Coast) is located in the north of the Valencia region, in the province of Castellón. It has an incredible climate and the beauty of its beaches is breathtaking. It has more than 130 kilometers of coastline where you can find long beaches of fine sand, beautiful, intimate and cozy coves. There are also large natural parks and a great cultural diversity, not forgetting the historic villages.

The Orange Blossom Coast was named after the blossom of the orange tree, which grows mainly in this area. The orange trees are the flagship of the Valencia region.

The Costa de Azahar has a typical Levante climate to be envied. The average annual temperature is 18º C and the winters are mild.

On the Azahar coast, you can enjoy the Sierra de Irta in Peñiscola and the Desert de les Palmas in Benicasim, which is also located in the province of Castellon, very close to this area. Further inland, the Sierra Espadán and the Tinença de Benifassá are ideal for more challenging mountain tours.

The Columbretes Natural Park, also located on the Azahar coast, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful nature reserves you should visit. It is made up of a series of islands that form one of the most important marine protected areas in the Valencian Community. It is a paradise located 30 miles from the coast. There are four groups of volcanic islands that are perfect if you like diving.

Another special feature of the Azahar coast is its rich gastronomy. Rice, fish, seafood and vegetables dominate the Azahar coast. All kinds of rice specialties, paella, fideuà, but also meat specialties such as leg of lamb characterize this region.
