Your yoga retreat is located in the south of Sri Lanka, less than five minutes' walk from the nearest beach and yet surrounded by greenery, trees and plants.

Sri Lanka can offer you just about everything: a visit to the national park, exploring various attractions such as the impressive temples and of course the beautiful beaches.

The team recommends that you take part in a safari to Udawalawe on Mondays or Fridays, as there are no yoga sessions in the mornings. You can simply book the tour on the day of your arrival for an extra charge. This tour allows you to get close to the animals, especially the elephants, without being bothered by lots of other jeeps and tourists. The chances of seeing leopards in Udawalawe are lower than in the Yala region, but there is also a healthy leopard population in Udawalawe, so sightings are quite common. You can also almost certainly spot Sri Lankan elephants, red deer, wild water buffalo, sloth bears, crocodiles, monkeys and many different bird species.

It is also worth exploring the area by boat. Sri Lanka has beautiful reefs and sunken ships to offer, which (depending on the season) you can discover wonderfully on a snorkeling tour or while scuba diving.

If you like hiking, you should take the opportunity to climb the famous Adams Peak, for example. Alternatively, you can also hike through the rainforest and marvel at the unique nature, wildlife and fantastic waterfalls.

If you are more in the mood for some city and culture, you can take a trip to Galle. Galle is known for the fort around the old town and is a relatively modern city. It is a wonderful place to stroll around, browse through a few shops and enjoy delicious food and drink.
