Our center is a lovingly restored farmhouse with a centuries-old history. Originally built as a barn, it has been transformed into a charming home over the decades. Today it combines the simple beauty of times gone by with the warmth of a modern retreat. The first floor of our house is our home, where we both live all year round. We love being here, enjoying each other's company and the daily chores in and around the house. Whether in the cozy rooms, in the light-flooded meditation room or on the terraces with a view of the greenery - you can feel the special magic of this place everywhere. The moment when we entered this place for the first time will never be forgotten. It was as if the earth itself was whispering: It's good here. Stay here. A clear, light energy pervades this place and makes it an oasis for body and soul. When you arrive as a guest, we open the upper floor and our home transforms into a center. Here you can let go, let go of the worries of everyday life and surrender to the simplicity of life. I began my musical training at the University of Copenhagen in the early 1970s, before also training as a body therapist. This work has shaped my life - I have been able to accompany people on their journey through relaxation courses and birth preparation and aftercare workshops. My life took a decisive turn when I met Michael Barnett, who introduced me to the world of meditation. To this day, I have a close relationship with him and his work. In the 1990s, I took part in several meditation retreats under the guidance of teachers from Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village. These experiences were complemented by my more than ten years of participation in Faisal Muqqadam's Diamond Logos Work, which gave me deep insights into the connection between body, mind and soul. Another milestone was my training in Somatic Experiencing, combined with Diane Poole Heller's Attachment Work, which enabled me to dedicate myself fully to working as a shock and trauma therapist. Today I see it as a great gift to be able to pass on all my experiences and knowledge in our Assisi retreats - a place where all these insights come together and come to life.

In the late 60s, Indian culture awakened a deep fascination in me. The music of Ravi Shankar opened doors to a new world for me and I immersed myself in books and sounds that inspired me. I discovered the spiritual dimension through Jiddu Krishnamurti and was lucky enough to experience his lectures in Switzerland and England. Then I met Osho. His books helped me to understand and piece together the fragments of my Catholic upbringing. In 1980, I traveled to India to experience him in person - a transformative experience that had a profound impact on me. A year later, I met Michael Barnett, one of Osho's leading therapists, whose encounter changed my life forever. Today, after decades of learning and growing, I am living my dream. In our Assisi retreats, I invite you to experience the "simplicity of being" - a harmony that permeates and transforms everyday life.

All roads lead to Assisi! Our center is nestled in the gentle Umbrian countryside, about 200 km from Rome and Florence. The capital of the region, Perugia, is only 25 km away. Here you will find all the information you need for a stress-free journey. You can either fly to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) or to Rome Ciampino (CIA), Florence, Pisa, Ancona or Perugia (often served by Ryanair). Our tip: Book your flight to Rome with an arrival time of no later than 14:00 so that you are here in time for dinner. For the return journey, we recommend flights from Rome no earlier than 11:00 am. If your flight departs earlier, you should spend the last night in Rome. From Rome to Assisi: From the airports in Rome to our center you should plan about 4 hours From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO):<ol><li>Bus: There are direct connections from FCO airport to Perugia - we will pick you up there.</li><li>Train:</li></ol><ul><li>Take the Leonardo da Vinci Airport Express to Roma Termini (35 min, €14).</li><li>From Roma Termini continue to Assisi or Foligno (regional or Intercity train, 10-20 €).</li><li>We will pick you up at Assisi or Foligno station.</li></ul> From Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA):<ol><li>Take the bus to Roma Termini central station.</li><li>From there, continue as above by train to Assisi or Foligno.</li></ol> Tips for the train journey<ul><li>Tickets: Buy your train ticket to Assisi or Foligno directly at Roma Termini station. Vending machine tickets are valid for two months and must be validated before boarding.</li><li>Train number: Pay attention to the train number on the departure board, not the terminus.</li><li>Tracks 1 and 2 EST: These tracks are a little further away (approx. 500 meters).
