SUP and Sun Salutations on the Portuguese Atlantic Coast

Our villa is located just a 35-minute drive from Lisbon in the exclusive neighborhood of Figueira do Guincho, right on the coast. It offers spectacular views of Praia do Guincho and the coastline.

In just 15 minutes, you can reach the attractions and impressive sites of the former fishing villages of Cascais and Estoril as well as the historic Sintra in the Sintra Mountains behind the house. There are also numerous small, charming stores for shopping as well as restaurants, bars and clubs.

Serra da Sintra

The adjacent national park area offers numerous paths and secret trails, ideal for mountain biking, jogging, hiking, climbing or meditation. Many an explorer has discovered mystical places hidden in the partly untouched, ivy-covered eucalyptus forests. Even in the immediate vicinity (a 20-minute drive) you will find numerous leisure activities.

Beaches

The house beach Praia do Guincho is only five minutes away from the Surf Villa. There are numerous other beaches within a 20 to 30-minute drive, offering something for everyone. From the lively city beach with the calm, bathing waters of the south coast (Linha) to the secluded beaches and bays with the wild surf of the Atlantic on the west coast.

Lisbon

The historic districts of Lisbon, Baixa and Bairro Alto, are known for their excellent shopping, cafés and historic sights such as the Castelo São Jorge. Bairro Alto, known for its traditional tascas and authentic Portuguese fado, is the pub district with various bars and restaurants. The Alfama, located on one of the many hills, is an excellent way to discover Portuguese tradition. Take a stroll to Chapitô, a restaurant, theater and cultural center that houses the Roman Catholic Cathedral and the birthplace of Saint Anthony of Padua.
