Going on safari doesn't necessarily mean sitting in a safari vehicle for hours just watching from the sidelines. With us, it's about experiencing the breathtaking wilderness and wildlife of Tswehe Wildlife Reserve (Tuli Block, Botswana) mostly on foot. You can also look forward to yoga and hikes up Tswehe Hill, always accompanied by your expert guide. Your accommodation is provided at Lone Tree Wilderness Camp, a place to live outdoors and connect with nature and wildlife that roam in the wild. Meals are budget style, with lots of fresh fruits, healthy vegetables, and of course, mostly cooked on an open fire.
If you are a nature enthusiast with moderate fitness, great interest in wildlife, bird species and natural flora and fauna, this trip is perfect for you!

The trip takes place in the heart of the wilderness in the Tuli Block in Botswana, on the Tswehe Wildlife Reserve, which covers an area of over 11000 hectares and includes large tracts of land, the Limpopo River, sandy roads and rocks. The area is remote, with the nearest shopping at least an hour's drive away. It's about wilderness, being close to nature and living in harmony with the land.
The Tuli stretches from the southeastern corner of Botswana, where the Shashe and Limpopo Rivers meet, to the Notwane River north of Olifants Drift in the southwest. The entire protected area, including the adjacent safari area along the Tuli Circle, covers about 800,000 hectares.
The Tuli Block is very different from other areas of the country. It is called the Hardveld because of its rocky outcrops and multitude of stones and pebbles of all shapes and sizes. The red sand of the Tuli region is an unforgettable feature as well as the massive trees along the banks of the great gray-green Limpopo River.
Much of the area is unfenced, allowing animals to roam freely between the Motloutse River on the border with Zimbabwe and the Limpopo River. The reserve is home to large herds of elephant, zebra, impala, eland, wildebeest and giraffe. You can also look forward to predators such as hyenas, leopards, and lions. In addition, there is an incredible variety of bird species. The vegetation is spectacular, the landscape varied. Giant nyala trees (also known as mashatu trees) and the yellow-barked fever trees grow along the riverbanks. Slender sesame trees take root in rocks. Characteristic baobab trees are ubiquitous under rocky outcrops. Animals thrive in the wild landscape.
